We visited China Wok on 10/16/2013 and ordered a dish that tests the quality of any Chinese take out restaurant: Chicken Chow Mein.

For the uninitiated, Chicken Chow Mein is Chicken, veggies, over fried rice. Not the noodly low-mein. I used to order this dish from a mall food court spot when I was a kid.

I’ve visited China Wok for this dish twice in the last two weeks. They have taken my order and provided it MUCH faster than expected.

The quality is better than anything I’ve had in YEARS – most Chinese restaurants skimp on the chicken, use a finely shredded chicken (and thus downsize portions) but China Wok does an incredible job with this dish.

 

Notice the big portions of chicken,

the generous portion of fried rice and vegetables. This is a lunch special portion no less. China Wok in Hendersonville is a VERY good Chinese take out spot. VERY HIGHLY Recommended!

Good Chinese is hard to find but China Wok gets it right!

I haven’t had this good an experience since I was growing up…
